Manage product category and subcategories

You can manage categories of all the products that vendors can add to the Smashwise platform.

To add a category:

Under PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, click Categories to reveal a drop-down menu. Next, click Category

At the top, input the category name

You will need to create an image in either jpeg or png format that will represent the icon or thumbnail of the category as it will appear on your app. The preset dimensions are 350px width and 350px height with a 500 pixel/inch resolution.

Have the image ready before you go to the next step. Click here for a template.

Next, click Choose file.

Select the file.

Click Add

To edit a category:

Under PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, click Categories to reveal a drop-down menu. Next, click Category

From the category list, click the pen icon beside the category to edit it.

Update the name or icon by either changing the data or uploading a new icon image.

Click Update.

To delete a category:

Under PRODUCT MANAGEMENT, click Categories to reveal a drop-down menu. Next, click Category

From the category list, click the bin icon beside the category to delete it.

A dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the delete action. Click Yes to Delete or No to Cancel.
